At the top of your course content pages, you can click on the "Make Custom Header/Footer" link to create a custom header and footer for each course.

Once you've clicked the link, you'll see this:

Using custom headers and footers in Event Registrar by GuiWeb.

Be sure to leave the %%%content%%% place holder. This is where ER will insert the content of your course pages. Place your header html above the place holder and your footer html below it. Include ALL necessary tags including the <html>, <head> and <body> tags. To preview your work, click on the preview link/icon at the top of your course pages. From there, choose "View>Source Code" to see how your html is combined to make one continuous page.

You can even include your own style sheet which you can reference from any server. If you'd like to upload your style sheet to GuiWeb®'s® server, use the upload files feature. The path to your style sheet would then be "https://yourschool.securegw.com/uploads/yourstylesheet.css"

The content that ER includes in your pages is placed into cells that are given the class name "cell". By adding the class "cell" into your style sheet, you can manipulate the style of the text added by ER. There are many tutorials on the web regarding style sheets. We recommend sites such as www.webmonkey.com.

Important Note:

Don't forget that all content contained in ER is called by the browser using encryption for security reasons. This means you'll need to call your images using secure paths. If you use the upload feature within ER to call your images, your path is as follows: https://yourschool.securegw.com/uploads/yourfile.jpg. If you do not call your images using this method, students will get the annoying pop up message telling them that some content may not be secure and it might encourage them to sign out prematurely.
