Why does a $3.00 charge (payable to GuiWeb®) appear on my credit card statement?

If your credit card statement shows a $3.00 fee payable to GuiWeb®, this means that you (or someone using your credit card) have signed up and paid for a course through a school that currently uses our registration software.

In most cases, the registration fee is factored into the total price of the course. For book-keeping purposes however, the total cost was broken down at the time of processing.

If you registered for a course online, this $3.00 fee is clearly identified on the payment form (referenced below). If you registered for a course by telephone, the school processing your course registration should have identified the total cost of course, which includes the $3.00 fee.
